Who We Are

First Baptist Church of Charlotte Harbor has been a part of the Charlotte Harbor community for generations, faithfully sharing the Gospel and serving families throughout Southwest Florida. Since its early beginnings, the church has remained committed to preaching God’s Word, supporting missions, and creating a welcoming place where people can grow in their relationship with Christ.

One of the most significant moments in the church’s history came in 1944 when the Murdock Baptist Church voted to merge with First Baptist Church of Charlotte Harbor. During a special evening service on February 13, 1944, members of the Murdock congregation were welcomed into fellowship and the records of the church were officially transferred. Later that same year, on September 10, 1944, the church building was formally dedicated to God, marking an important milestone in the life of the congregation.

Over the years, First Baptist Church of Charlotte Harbor continued to grow both spiritually and physically. As the church family expanded, additional property was purchased and new facilities were added to better serve the needs of the congregation and the community. In 1975, the church dedicated a new sanctuary to the Lord, providing a larger place for worship and ministry. Throughout the decades, classrooms, fellowship areas, and ministry spaces were developed to support Sunday School, youth programs, outreach events, and church fellowship.

The church has been blessed through the leadership of faithful pastors, staff members, and church families who have dedicated themselves to serving the Lord and caring for the community. Today, under the leadership of Pastor Clint Stasney, First Baptist Church of Charlotte Harbor continues its mission of pointing people to Jesus Christ and helping believers grow in their faith through biblical teaching, worship, discipleship, and outreach.

From Vacation Bible School and children’s ministries to missions, music, and community events, the church continues to be a place where people of all ages can find encouragement, fellowship, and spiritual growth. While many things have changed throughout the years, the heart of the church has remained the same: to glorify God, share the hope of Christ, and faithfully serve the Charlotte Harbor community for generations to come.
